The product was for my friend. I received this desk a few days ago. Smooth surface, and could easily apply anti-slip strips if desired.

I have one suggestion, desk real estate was almost non-existent. The legs are metal and fold straight out from under the table.

Convenient, sturdy, and exactly as pictured - a great addition to any home.

They must have heeded the reviews because it was wrapped up so nicely it could have been used as a football in an NFL game and not sustained damage.
