I didn't use the cup holder because I didn't want to take chances of it spilling.

It's versatile enough to accommodate a laptop and a mouse if you don't mind covering the cup holder.

I fold it up and keep it under the end table next to the couch, very convenient.

Two tips: I use a small horizontal pan organizer by my bedside to keep this tray as well as a laptop cooling fan handy.

It is very convenient and has made a positive impact on my work. Everything stays put. Should help with the longevity of the laptop as well. Definitely helped me be more productive when I can't get out of bed. I can do my office work on it or just put the iPad on top of it and watch a movie.
